12/11/09 I am now reunited with both Oh! Deer and Landscape prints and so they are available for purchase once again in the shop.
29/07/09 now the book is launched, I've put up the Friction images in their entirety. the show at Analogue Books (a.k.a. pretty awesome shop) is a feast to behold, as are the books themselves. big congratulations and thank yous to Jez and Lizzy at Sing Statistics and also to Russell and Julie at Analogue. you can view photos of the show and books on Analogue's flickr. most of the images are available to buy as limited edition digital prints, both of mine are £20 and can be ordered by contacting Sing Statistics direct, and of course that's where to go to order the books too... remember that the exhibition continues in Analogue until the end of August. phew!
16/07/09
We Are the Friction is launched next week! i know the finished books are going to be a TREAT and will be well worth a mere £12. more info and pre-order at Sing Statistics. the exhibition will stay up for the whole of August, so if you are going to Edinburgh for the festival, be sure to make a trip to Analogue Books. I'll be putting up the full images as soon as I'm back from the North. soon!
11/05/09 I have two friends of equally amazing talent called Jez Burrows and Lizzy Stewart. last year they made a beautiful book called "I am the Friction". they decided it was so glorious they should share the experiment and promptly enlisted a host of talented writers and illustrators to contribute to the sequel, aptly entitled "We are the Friction".
the idea is simple but nevertheless here follows the slightly convoluted explanantion... OK... an illustrator (i.e. me) is teamed with a writer (i.e. Caren Beilin)... they produce a story/image which they swap and then produce another story/image inspired by what they have been given... next the stories/illustrations will be compiled in an expertly printed and bound limited editioned publication most likely complete with screen printed cover... got it? no? you will...
so... I recently completed my two images, but the book is not launched until the 23rd July (at Analogue bookshop in Edinburgh.) until then I can only show you the two details below...
but first I should mention that my very good friend, the accomplished Mr. Charlie Duck, has also contributed some outstanding drawings. we both just booked our trains to the bonny land. yeah us!

17/04/09 OK! so... the Art Is Proof 'Fear' exhibition is on until the 1st May at The Toilet Gallery in Kingston-Upon-Thames. You can purchase prints until the exhibition finishes here!
